ps3offer.co.uk Review
A bit of background first, Assassin's Creed is set in 1191 AD, the Third
Crusade was tearing the Holy Land apart. The Assassins that were
shrouded in secrecy and feared for their ruthlessness, intend to stop the
hostilities by suppressing both sides of the conflict. The Players (you
and Me) assume the role of the main character named Altair, and will
have the power to throw their immediate environment into chaos and to
shape events during this pivotal moment in history.
Now that's over to the game itself, the Graphics are absolutely stunning,
especially on a 1080p TV, every last little detail can be seen, the
movement of the character will amaze you especially when he climbs,
it's almost real life.
Once the amazement of the graphics wear off and reality sets in (after
about 2 hours!) you realize this game is not actually that good, yes the
graphics are stunning, but the playability is rubbish, to much roaming
around, the missions are all a bit the same, it crashes all the time,
usually after you have just spent 40 mins on a mission and you have to
start all over again! that only has to happen to me twice on a game and i
never pick it up again. So guess what i have had this game since
christmas and played it 3 times. It's going on ebay so i can get some
money back!
I think ubisoft have rushed this game to get it out for christmas, it could
have been so much more and a great game if only they would have
worked more on the playability, made it less repetitive and fixed the
glitches!
So in summary, great graphics but crap game, don't buy it, but if you
have the opportunity rent it or lend it off a disappointed friend!
