ps3offer.co.uk review
Very much like Tomb Raider only with a mix of the beauty of price of
Persia and the intensity of combat of gears of war, it seems to mix up all
the best bits from your favourite games. It's a mix of about 50% Platform
and 50% shoot em up, a mix that naughty dog has worked hard on to get
it right
The graphics and motion seem fluid and the graphics are great, the
tomb raider types bits will leave you with sweaty palms as you have to
negotiate a series of almost impossible jumps over crumbling scenery.
At first i didn't like the game, but as you become accustomed to the
controls and you are able to roll from cover to cover and you get used to
the aiming (as you don't have aim assist) the game becomes more
rewarding and involving to the point where i actually started to enjoy it, i
am a COD man myself and didn't think this would be my cup of tea, but
was pleasantly surprised by what it had to offer.. It feels like a journey as
you flow from chapter to chapter.
If you get stuck when in tomb raider style i particularly like the built in hint
feature that sorts of pokes you in the right direction, it saves time and
frustration, the amount of times i have stuck for two days on tomb raider
looking at a wall or wandering around aimlessly looking for what to do
next, this option gets rid of that and makes the game less frustrating and
ultimately more entertaining. There is also an auto grab feature which
assumes you want to grab the nearest feature when jumping which
eliminates having to be pixel perfect like on tomb raider.
All in all a good game with a good mix of action and problem solving,
great graphics and great story, a very rewarding game.
Our advice Buy it, it's good value at £35!
